To Travel is to Live

One of our favorite quotes said by Hans Christian Andersen. Why start off this post with that quote? Because we’re off to see HCA’s homeland!

Beginning Thursday we’ll be headed to Copenhagen for a few days to sample smørrebrød, fisk, and kanelstang. That’s open-faced snadwiches, fish, and cinnamon cakes to you. Not to mention seeing the real Little Mermaid and not just the Disney version.

Then it’s off to the land of Ikea, ABBA, and meatballs.

So much to see and do that it’s going to be wall-to-wall activities in the Swedish capital.

Next we’ll jump over to Helsinki to try to read a Finn’s facial expression. Well, that and to see all that the Finnish capital has to offer.

Don’t forget this is where Marimekko is from so excited for some cool Finnish design.

Last stop will be the old city of Talinn. The biggest day trip destination for Finns, mainly because of the duty free shopping.

Talinn dates from the 14th century and has a beautifully preserved old town.
