Our stay in Kathmandu was in a suite at the Hyatt Regency booked with cash and points.
The room was relatively unremarkable but comfortable and large. We had this beautiful view.
The hotel sits on 24 acres of grounds that have been turned into beautiful gardens. Guests are allowed to wander through them as they wish.
It’s really quite remarkable what they’ve done.
Of course the local wildlife loves the grounds!
And some of the trees are amazing.
If we returned to Kathmandu we’d stay here again. The location is close to the airport and central to many of the important sites in the Kathmandu Valley.

I cannot actually conceive, even with these photos, how different your Kathmandu/Nepal is from the one I trekked through in ’91. It’s like it’s a completely different country….
Beautiful! And those trees!!! Amazing!
