We were incredibly lucky on this one. The MORI Digital Art Museum in Tokyo has been running an exhibit, in conjunction with teamLab.borderless, that is being called the world’s first all-digital museum. Every work of art is driven by light and so there are no restrictions on touching what you see, photos, or otherwise interacting with any of the exhibits. In some cases you’re part of the exhibit.
It was scheduled to end the weekend we were in Tokyo so we snapped up tickets right away (it has since been extended).
And it was spectacular.

.
With over 50 different “rooms” each contained a unique display and all were delightful to the eyes.
This one was called “Icicles”.
This one called “Samurai”.
This one called “Lillipads”.
There was a gigantic room that had digital whales floating along one side above the heads of children who were coloring.
In another part of the same room was an area with a squishy floor and giant bubbles that floated around.

.
We spent a good two hours just wandering around and taking it all in. Fantastic!
