Just a quick post about seeing Mt. Everest.
When you fly from Kathmandu to Paro (or return) you are treated with a very nice view of Mt. Everest and a related mountain named Lhotse.
When you fly from Kathmandu to Paro you want to sit on the left to see it. For the return you obviously want to sit on the right. Of course as you fly by you’re madly taking pictures in the hopes at least a few turn out.
You can see how cloudy it was around the mountains. As mentioned in an earlier post this is the tail end of monsoon season so the clouds are still quite present. In other seasons it is much less cloudy.
We were thrilled to see what we did. The first sighting was heartstopping!
