We arrived late in the evening at our hotel, checked in quickly and then collapsed. Sri Lanka is one and a half hours ahead of Oman and we got in around 10:30pm so we quite tired from a long day of travel.
The hotel is a confection of Arabic styles, heavy on the Arabian Nights theme. It’s located on the beach in the Diplomatic District and has a large pool. The room continued the Arabian Nights theme with a spacious separate living room and an extra half bathroom which is nice when you’re trying to get out in a hurry in the morning.
Here is the living room.
And here is the bedroom.
The room also had a private balcony that overlooked the common area, a pool. You can see those in the first picture as it was difficult to take a picture of our own balcony.
We didn’t LOVE the property, it needs an update. But it was just fine for US$125 including breakfast in the morning and cocktails in the evening using Hyatt points and cash.
