The Star Ferry is a Hong Kong institution and is beloved here. It’s also a steal at just HK$2.50, or about US$0.30. The grand old ferry makes the trip across the harbor in about 5 minutes.
It was a lovely ride across Hong Kong harbor to Kowloon.
Sort of the point of the side trip to Kowloon was to have lunch at Din Tai Fung, which is one of our favorite Asian restaurants (we’ve eaten there several times in Shanghai). I love their hot and sour soup!
