We arrived at our hotel around noon and then turned around and left at about 1p. The sun sets at 4:20p, and we had to have lunch so we didn’t have much sightseeing time.
But we did manage to pack in a visit to Covent Garden and then a walk along the Thames from Charing Cross to Westminster.
Hahahaha. Jeff had to make a phone call.
Then last night for dinner we went to St. John’s Square and dined at a place called Modern Pantry.
It’s a New Zealand-inspired restaurant and cafe. Jeff had the tamarind glazed Goosenargh duck breast and I picked the cinnamon braised Gloucester Old Spot pork belly.

All-in-all a great start to our stay in London. Tomorrow begins our sightseeing in earnest.
