We had the chance to visit Table Mountain. Our first day in Cape Town was quite foggy and the mountain was closed, but the next day dawned sunnier and clearer. The mountain was open but it wasn’t 100% sunny like you’d want it to be. But it was now or never, so off to the top we went.
You can walk on trails that look like they are fit for mountain goats OR you can pay some money and ride in comfort on one of these cable cars.
As you can see, the cable cars disappeared into the clouds as they neared the top.
But if you waited for the clouds to roll by you could get some nice views of Cape Town.
This is looking down at where we’re staying – Camps Bay.
Surprisingly you can do a lot of walking at the top. We sort of imagined a platform or reception area, but you can walk for miles around the top. It was quite nice.
And of course the views were amazing.
Except when the clouds took over!
All together it takes about two hours for this activity, excluding any line wait times.
