On New Year’s day we pried ourselves out of our suite at the Park Hyatt Vienna at 7:15am in order to get to the airport for our flight home. The fog was thick.
We were lucky to be in Business Class where Austrian Airlines has a chef to oversee the catering.
A nice touch was that everything was either served from the galley or via trolley. Meals were not delivered on a tray all at once as nearly all other airlines do now in Business Class. It gave the service a much classier touch.
Just 10 short hours later we were descending into frozen Chicago. Local temperature: 4 degrees. Ice is forming offshore.
