This is Jeff’s first visit to Cannes and the French Riviera. I was last here in 1989 for a conference, but it’s as glamorous as ever!
Last time here I also stayed at the Hotel Martinez, which has since become the Grand Hyatt Hotel Martinez. So while Cannes is glamorous, it’s even more glamorous when you’re in a grand suite overlooking the Croisette thanks to my status at Hyatt.
Take a look:
This is a stunning room. Here are the living room and dining room.
Then the master suite.
And the master bath with the Erica-approved tub.
Most incredible are the floor to ceiling windows that span the entire width of the suite and all overlook the Croisette and the Mediterranean beyond. The doors are lined with leather padding!
The view outside from this morning.
This is why I try to keep my Hyatt status – the reward for it is tremendous rooms such as this one. As if the room upgrade wasn’t enough, the hotel manager arranged for our own happy hour in the bar. So we quickly got settled and headed right down to take our places.
Meet Michel, our enabler, er bartender.
Let’s just say we got our money’s worth and it was miraculous that it wasn’t a bad scene this morning.
It’s going to be super hard to check out of here.
