Just before we leave Melbourne for Sydney, wanted to include some fun miscellaneous photos of things and scenes we came across while we explored.
First up, Dame Edna Place. A laneway has been renamed to honor the famous Dame Edna. What was cute was that they had embedded little stars in the pavement in addition to this bright street sign.
How about wedding pictures being taken right on the street a la Hanoi?
Another laneway, this one called AC/DC Lane and it commemorates a video the band made in Melbourne in the 1970s. Yep.
You hate to make fun, but COME ON! We were inside St. Patrick’s and rather than another hushed cathedral picture you’re getting this.
While we’re at St. Patrick’s, make sure you listen to the Dean!
At the Shrine of Remembrance a gaggle of schoolchildren looking at the skyline. Seems to be normal practice for them all to wear school uniforms.
He shows up even here on the other side of the world.
Lastly a pic of one of the laneways. Really charming practice of repurposing alleys.
