Our ride across the Pacific was to be in one of the cushiest seats in the sky — First Class on Cathay Pacific. Their Fist Class seats are 36″ wide and fold down into a 7 foot long bed complete with down comforter and pajamas and an amenity kit filled with wonderful Aesop skincare products.

The experience begins on the ground with a glass of Krug and an amuse bouche of a chilled grilled scallop with mango sauce.

The Cathay Pacific service is a la carte so you can pick and choose what you’d like. I chose a nice salad of bitter greens with creamy balsamic dressing.

Had a small glass of port but skipped dessert so I could get started on movies as we jetted across the Pacific.
Incuding part of the menu here so you could see some of the other choices.
