On our third try we finally got onto the Eiffel Tower. Our wonderful concierge at the Park Hyatt Vendome arranged for us to get special tickets where you board the elevators immediately and skip the gigantic lines that are so persistent at the Eiffel Tower.
Here’s a tip: if you are coming to Paris and plan to go up into the Eiffel Tower, make your reservations and buy your tickets online well in advance of your stay. Of course you run the risk of picking a poor weather day, you can always opt to pay the premium as we did and choose your day based on the weather once you arrive here.
So up we went! And when we got to the top, we had some incredible views on an incredibly beautiful day! The Seine and most of the Right Bank….
Could even zoom into the Arc de Triomphe and see the people on top who had climbed the stairs!
The views alone were well worth the hassle and price of admission — but only because our weather and visibility was spectacular. If it’s even marginal I’m not sure I’d make the effort.
