This is the little French town that Claude Monet called home from 1883 until his death in 1926.
It is a beautiful, beatiful little town about 50 miles west of Paris and is now best known for the famous gardens where Monet painted his famous “Waterlillies” series.
.
You enter the garden through a small green door that opens into the most achingly beautiful gardens you’ll ever see.
But the highlight still remains the pond with with the waterlillies and weeping willows.
After our lovely visit we drove back to Paris and enountered our first underground gas station – weird right? It’s right near Porte Maillotte in case you ever look for it.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering about driving in Paris, it was a challenge but not impossible. But here’s a shot of our car’s navigation screen while we were sitting in traffic. The car in the center was us and is a graphic representation but the cars all around us are real and show up as a result of the cars 360 cameras.
