After leaving Healesville at 2:30, we rushed to get to Phillip Island to see the Little Penguin parade which happens at sundown. This being autumn in Australia meant that sundown was around 5:30, but you only have until about 4:45 to get situated on the beach grandstands otherwise you miss the penguins. So we hurried to make it in time.
But on the way we drove through some of the most beautiful eucalyptus forests punctuated by great green lawns around some of the farms.
And then a few of the gorgeous fields.
It was an unexpected surprise to see such beautiful countryside as we rushed from one place to another.
