Following the menus post, here are some pics of the real deal. Lighting not great because it was night time and so only the LED pinspot to work with.
Starting off on the JFK-Frankfurt leg, a caviar appetizer along with the famous Singapore Airlines garlic bread.
Followed by a lovely corn chowder with a spicy prawn and basil oil drizzled over it.
Skipped the salad of rocket leaves and went directly to main course of a NY steak (basically a mini NY Strip).
And then the final course, a strawberry shortcake with black cherry sorbet.
Then we had a brief stop at the Fankfurt Airport where we were greeted by, what else?, an alarm sounding off. It’s just not Frankfurt without some sort of alarm going off. We did, however, find the world’s largest airport elevator.
Then in to our next leg from Frankfurt to Singapore. This was a lunch and breakfast leg and we had pre-ordered the Honey Glazed Duckling.
The rest of the meal had a repeat of the caviar, but I chose the rocket salad this time (forgot pic!), and then finished with a blueberry gateau with black cherry sorbet that was remarkably delicious.
Now we’re in Singapore, just waiting for our final leg to Melbourne!
After a shower and repose at the Singapore Airlines Private Room, we boarded the aircraft for our final leg.
First up, a lobster and fennel salad with citrus.
Followed by a Chinese chicken and mushroom broth.
Then a bibb lettuce salad with balsamic dressing.
Then the main event, Lobster Thermidor with saffron ride and asparagus! Soooo delicious.
Last course was a parfait for dessert.
By the way, there has been another course after all of these meals, I’ve just been stopping at dessert because, well. But this time grabbed a pic of the cheese and fruit cart.
