After our wonderful stops at the Amphawa Floating Market and the Maeklong Railway Market we headed back to Bangkok to get to the Flower Market. We wanted to take advantage of having a driver so that we didn’t repeat our experience of yesterday having to beg a tuk tuk to take us to the BTS station and then having it take two hours to get back.
So after our return drive we arrived at the Flower Market and jumped out of our van and plunged right in.
Piles and piles of orchids.
Roses by the dozen
We weren’t sure what these flowers were – anyone know?
These are the orchids that people wear to worship. They hang like this all over the Flower Market.
It’s a very busy place, with the busiest time being between 2 and 4 in the morning.
It looks like hard work and if you’re up that early you’re bound to nap at some point!
