Not in any guideboks but St. Sulpice is one of the most beautiful squares in all of Paris. It’s also the place I used to call home when I was in Paris.
In the middle of the square is a beautiful old fountain and it is around this fountain that people participate in one of the largest Bastille Day celebrations in France each year.

.
Like the Mamas & The Papas, we stopped into a church we passed along the way and it was just as beautiful inside as it was outside.
Lots of private, quiet spaces inside the cathedral.
Across the square is the old place at 5 Place St. Sulpice – looks just the same as it did 25 years ago!
Can you imagine coming home to this?
