We’ve been in the air for nearly eight hours with just five more hours to go – it just goes by so quickly! The service on ANA has been lovely, gracious, and attentive without being overbearing. Service on ANA is very different than on Cathay Pacific – a little more proactive without being annoying. It’s not better than Cathay, just different. Cause the good lord knows we loved flying Cathay.
I loved the little tubes of mouthwash in the spacious bathroom. Just enough in the tube for one use. There is also a famous Toto Toilet in there, along with a very nice feature of a fold-down step that you use when you’re changing into your pajamas. That way you aren’t touching the bathroom floor with your socks. I also loved the Shiseido Refreshing Lotion – not as good as the Aesop Refreshing Spray on Cathay, but pretty damn refreshing as well.
Hey, look, we’re crossing the international date line!
It’s so strange — we fast forward 21 hours in the blink of an eye. It was just 10:05pm Alaska Time on Wednesday night and now it’s 7:05pm Siberian Time on Thursday evening. Our scheduled arrival into Narita Airport in Tokyo is 8:45pm Japan Time.
