We walked up another hill today – this one called Santa Lucia and far less challenging than Cerro San Cristobal (the one with the funicular).
But wow are the views fantastic from up top. It’s so strange with these hills in the middle of Santiago. From below they look so unassuming but when you get to the top it’s like you’re a mile in the air and see very sweeping vistas – even of the Andes (shrouded by clouds today).
Santa Lucia has a castle and a vantage point at the top, along with some very lovely walkways through the park the surrounds the hill itself.
