We say goodbye to Chile and hello to the U.S.
Last night at the Santiago airport, LAN was oversold in Business Class to Miami, so we managed to wiggle our way onto the JFK non-stop AND have them give us $700 cash compensation for our trouble. Hah.

And then our aircraft landing at JFK a mere 11 hours later.
So we’ve arrived back in New York at the same time our original flight was to leave Miami for JFK. Now racing over to LaGuardia to see if AA will let us go home early.
Update on getting home earlier: No dice – apparently there were thunderstorms in Chicago last night so every flight out of LGA is oversold today. Not terrible – we’ll spend a few hours in the LGA Admirals Club – luckily they have showers, so we can freshen up as we wait.
