Well as you saw in the last post, we got on in 40A and 40B. Two seats together by themselves and let me just that United did a really, really nice job with this flight. It left on time, the aircraft was clean, the seats were comfortable, the crew was incredibly friendly, meals were light but actually not bad, and we arrived safely, and on time. What more could you ask for?
We exited the aircraft as quickly as we could from row 40, then did the death march from one terminal to another which entailed a bus transfer.
“We found out where in the world Carmen San Diego is…”
Unfortunately that took so long we missed our first choice flight which was a non-stop to our destination, so we settled for a non-stop to a destination that is 2 1/2 hours from where we were headed.
Once we arrived at that airport we hurried thru immigration and out to a taxi that was to take 20 minutes when we had 30 minutes to the next train to our destination. We arrived at the train station in time but didn’t realize there were multiple companies operating trains and so missed our first choice but managed to make our second choice. We were only 2 1/2 hours from our goal!
By the way, we found out where in the world Carmen San Diego is.
Upon arrival we jumped into a boat and set sail for our hotel. Tomorrow we’ll talk about where that is!
