We checked out of our room at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome in tears and took an Uber out to de Gaulle for our short hop to Frankfurt. The plan to get home was to standby out of Frankfurt where we had many more options than out of Paris.
As I mentioned in a previous post, it started to get mean cold in Paris. On our way to de Gaulle we ran into freezing fog/snow. It looked beautiful but not exactly flying weather.
But we boarded and our Lufthansa flight pushed pretty much on time. The fog was crazy.
We deiced and rolled out for a very uneventful flight and before we knew it were pulling into the terminal at Frankfurt. We were spending one night (New Year’s Eve) in Frankfurt and planned to finally use my United flight benefits.
