Mmmmm-mmmmmm this was good. A super simple menu: three starters, three mains, three desserts. Choose two or three courses and/or add a cheese course. The End.
But wowee were the dishes amazing.
Course one was a sous vide salmon with a cream sauce and pickled onions.
.
Course two was the breast of a young female duck that was so rare and flavorful and delicious that it almost tasted like steak. Served with a melange of vegetables that included petit pois.
Last was the dessert course which was a lemon curd with a cookie and two dollops of meringue. Beautiful.
Jeffrey and Pam had the duck as well but Jeffrey opened with a lovely plate of shaved white asperagus.
Lisa had a beautiful steak
That was preceded by a cucumber gazpacho that tasted as though you were biting right into a cucumber. So fresh!
Karen had a beautiful dish of pan fried cod – so gorgeous that I almost rethought the duck.
