There are only two people on earth with whom you could meet up with when all of you are 6,000 miles away from home and that is Chris and Arnell. Anyone that knows them, knows this to be true.
They just happened to be at Narita today as they embark on their week long Japan trip along with Chris’s father. Chris will then continue on to his third Africa trip in the last 18 months, which he kicks off in Bujumbura in a week, while Arnell and Gary go home.
It was terrific to see them both and spend some time catching up for an hour or so!
Then we headed through to the First Class checkin area. Even though we are returning to Chicago on United, ANA handles First Class checkin at Narita.
And before we knew it, we were settled down in the United Global First Lounge waiting for our bird home.
Again through the magic of the international date line, we’re leaving Tokyo at 5:55p on Monday evening and arriving in Chicago at 2:30p on Monday afternoon.
