In 1964 Tokyo hosted the Summer Olympics and they have placed posters all over the Metro celebrating the 50th anniversary of those games.
And if you’re an Olympic watcher, you’ll know that Tokyo will once again host the Summer Olympics in 2020.
And then if you have a passion for the Olympics like a certain someone we know in Montreal, you’ll freak out when you read this sign.
We’re headed back up into the mountains, although this time west from Tokyo rather than north. We’re off to see our friend Lauren and her husband Patrick who live in Kanazawa which is located on the west coast of Japan. To get there we have to traverse the mountains that form the spine of Japan and make a connection in Nagano site of the 1998 Winter Olympics.
