What a fantastic park this is near Shinjuku. At first you don’t realize it and then suddenly you do — an amazing location with a tremendous beauty that you ultimately find very compelling.
There are,three primary gardens: the Japanese Garden, the English Garden, and the French Garden. Within the French garden there is an area planted with dozens of different rose varietals. So beautiful! Here are a few for your enjoyment.
I didn’t get all their names, but this one above is called “Gina Lollabridgita”, presumably after the actress.
I think I blew through about 100 photos of some beautiful roses. The park also contains some shockingly large trees. Here’s one now.
These girls, who were dressed up on their Halloween costumes, were just laying on the grass in the English Garden.
