We’re starting to get excited about our upcoming trip to Japan. We had to delay our trip due to my job change earlier this year, but now are all set to leave on October 23rd.
We originally intended to be in Japan at the height of Cherry Blossom season, which can be a dicey gamble as it’s highly dependent on the weather and it only lasts a few days. When we changed our plans we targeted autumn, which some say is even more beautiful than Cherry Blossom time. Here’s what we’re hoping for:

Of course autumn leaves are also dependent on the weather, but the season lasts much longer than do Cherry Blossoms. Also our trip will take us up into the mountains on a couple of occasions so we’re hopeful that we’ll see at least some fall color.
