The trouble with London is that each and every monument and place has been photographed to death. One more picture of Big Ben is probably not going to add to the body of work that is all of the pictures that have been taken of Big Ben in the last 100 years.
Nevertheless, we try. We try because London is so visually arresting when you’re here and you’d like to capture that beauty through photography. So you’ll have to forgive us if we publish repeats of photos you may have already seen as our job here is to document our around-the-world extravaganza and this is one of our stops. We’ll try to keep it interesting.
First up is the confection counter at Harrods. No place can turn an adult into a wimpering child faster than this room at Harrods. We, of course, had to sample some of the goods just to make sure they weren’t selling poor quality chocolates to the unsuspecting public. They aren’t.
This was after our lunch at the Rotisserie counter in the Food Halls. Roasted chicken. We contemplated the seafood bar, but neither of us were in the mood for it.
Lunch was sandwiched between a visit to the Tower of London and a walk from Harrods to Westminster Abbey plus atour of the Abbey. Details of those activities are in separate posts.
