We were up and out early this morning as we have a day trip to Nikko to see autumn colors planned. This meant taking the Metro at rush hour in order to get to Tokyo Station to board our Shinkansen.
So we got on our Metro train and stood there like sardines in a tin can.
We didn’t experience the “pushers” but it was amusing to watch people board an already full train by approaching the door, turning their back, and sort of falling into the crowd. Sort of like a very polite mosh pit.
Then when we arrived at our destination, you had to queue up for the escalator. It’s all so very orderly.
Then dodging people inside the station as they rush off to their jobs.
